我们已经研讨过在以赛亚的异象中，撒拉弗用两个翅膀遮脸、两个翅膀遮脚，今天我们要专心探讨他们用「两个翅膀飞翔」这句话。这里的含意是我们事奉神的时候必须迫切地进行。

今天的经文指出不敬虔的人如何追求他们的神。在研读这段经文的时候，我想到基督徒是多么不同，很少人愿意认真的跟随神，他们只是在神的背后游荡。总的来说，基督徒的事奉是懒散多于迫切，怠惰多于鼓舞，断断续续多于热忱充沛。我们说：「主啊，好的，我可以被您使用，但是那必须是既方便又不用有所付出才行」。我们不妨把这样的回应，与那些把性、享乐、名誉、金钱等当作「神」来追求的人的态度来作个比较。他们好像永远不会觉得这些「神」对他们的要求是过分似的，甚至乐意放弃睡眠、工作至深夜、花费所有金钱以满足这些「神」。很多基督徒对神的态度，就好像这个年青人一样，他对女朋友说：「亲爱的，我愿意为你赴汤蹈火。」可是几分钟后，他说：「咱们明晚见吧，如果到时候不下雨的话。」

以赛亚异象中的撒拉弗提醒我们，我们为神所做的事，必须怀着迫切和热诚去做。如果我们的基督徒生命缺少这些品质，那就表示我们大有问题。神以迫切和热诚向我们走过来，但是我们有没有以同样的迫切和热诚走近祂呢？

Now that we have examined the fact that the seraphs in Isaiah's vision had two wings covering their faces and two wings covering their feet, we focus on the phrase that says "with two they were flying". The implication here is that our service for God must be done with urgency.

As I considered the verse that is before us today, which points out how the ungodly chase after their gods, I thought how different it is with Christians. Few chase after God, they choose rather to saunter after Him. Christian service, generally speaking, is characterised more by lethargy than urgency, more by indolence than inspiration, and more by fitfulness than fervour. We say: "Yes, Lord, I'm available to You, providing it's convenient, providing it doesn't cost me anything" Contrast this with the attitude of people who serve the gods of sex, pleasure, fame, money, and so on. There is hardly a demand their gods make upon them that seems to be too much. They are willing to give up sleep, stay out until the early hours, and spend any amount they have to in order to satisfy their gods. Many Christians are like the young man who told his girlfriend: "Darling, I would go through fire and water for you." Then a few minutes later he said: "I'll see you tomorrow night if it isn't raining."

The seraphs of Isaiah's vision remind us that what we do for God must be done with urgency and passion. There is something terribly wrong when our Christian lives lack those qualities. God moves toward us with urgency and passion; do we move with urgency and passion toward Him?
