耶稣是拯救人的主
约翰福音四章17至26节
17妇人说：「我没有丈夫。」耶稣说：「你说没有丈夫是不错的。
18你已经有五个丈夫，你现在有的并不是你的丈夫。你这话是真的。」
19妇人说：先生，我看出你是先知。
20我们的祖宗在这山上礼拜，你们倒说，应当礼拜的地方是在耶路撒冷。」
21耶稣说：妇人，你当信我。时候将到，你们拜父，也不在这山上，也不在耶路撒冷。
22你们所拜的，你们不知道；我们所拜的，我们知道，因为救恩是从犹太人出来的。
23时候将到，如今就是了，那真正拜父的，要用心灵和诚实拜他，因为父要这样的人拜他。
24神是个灵（或无个字），所以拜他的必须用心灵和诚实拜他。」
25妇人说：「我知道弥赛亚（就是那称为基督的）要来；他来了，必将一切的事都告诉我们。」
26耶稣说：「这和你说话的就是他！」

基督怎样回应她呢？请再读第23节。基督的意思是：真正的敬拜，是在乎敬拜的对象是否真实，而不在于敬拜的地点和形式。你会怎样向别人解释这点呢？
以下是一个建议；你可以这样说：「对我而言，基督是真实地存在，祂时刻与我同在。祂是我的知心朋友，对我非常意义重大。」
能够以这番说话见证我们的信仰，实在是很美好的，你说是吗？不过，要真心实意地说出这番话，我们就必须在每天的生活中亲身认识耶稣基督。有些人只会在星期日上教会，平日却不会为基督而活。请反躬自问，耶稣基督在今天对你又有甚么意义呢？
经文中的妇人接受了基督的话，立即跑去告诉别人。第39至42节告诉我们，有许多撒玛利亚人也相信了耶稣基督。有谁会料到，我们为基督所作的见证会影响至多远？
让我们每个人都同声祷告说：「主啊，我渴望你真实地成为我的朋友，即如你真实地成为我的救主一样；以致当我向别人传讲你的时候，能够有实质的经历与人分享。」
反思：
只有到我们将来上天堂之后，我们才知道自己曾影响了多少人归向基督。
Jesus The Master Soul-Winner
John 4:17-26
17 The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.”
Jesus said to her, “You have well said, ‘I have no husband,’
18 for you have had five husbands, and the one whom you now have is not your husband; in that you spoke truly.”
19 The woman said to Him, “Sir, I perceive that You are a prophet.
20 Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one ought to worship.”
21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father.
22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews.
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
25 The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”
26 Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.”
Message
Very often when I have tried to talk to someone about Jesus Christ, they have tried to hide behind a statement like this: 'Well, that's fine, but you have your church and I have mine and that's the way it is'. That is exactly what the woman did in this story. Notice verse 20, 'We worship here - you worship there.'
How did Christ answer her? Read verse 23 again. Worship must be a reality. It is not where we worship but how that really counts. How would you explain that difference to someone?
Here is a suggestion. 'Christ is a reality to me; he is with me always. He is my friend and means everything to me.'
That's a wonderful testimony to be able to give isn't it? To be able to say it, you must know Jesus Christ personally in a living daily experience. Some people come to church on Sunday, but do not live for Christ during the week. What does Jesus Christ mean to you today?
This woman accepted what Christ said. Immediately she began to tell others about her new-found friend. Verses 39 to 42 tell us that many of the Samaritans believed on Jesus Christ also. Who can tell where your witness for Christ will end?
Here again is a prayer for each of us. Lord I want you to be such a living friend to me as well as Saviour, that when I talk to others I will really have something to share with them. '"
A Thought For Today
Only in heaven will we finally discover all the lives we have touched for Christ.
