复兴的临到
历代志下廿九章1至11节
1希西家登基的时候年二十五岁，在耶路撒冷作王二十九年。他母亲名叫亚比雅，是撒迦利雅的女儿。
2希西家行耶和华眼中看为正的事，效法他祖大卫一切所行的。
3元年正月，开了耶和华殿的门，重新修理。
4他召众祭司和利未人来，聚集在东边的宽阔处，
5对他们说：“利未人哪，当听我说！现在你们要洁净自己，又洁净耶和华你们列祖神的殿，从圣所中除去污秽之物。
6我们列祖犯了罪，行耶和华我们神眼中看为恶的事，离弃他，转脸背向他的居所，
7封锁廊门，吹灭灯火，不在圣所中向以色列神烧香或献燔祭。
8因此，耶和华的忿怒临到犹大和耶路撒冷，将其中的人抛来抛去，令人惊骇、嗤笑，正如你们亲眼所见的。
9所以我们的祖宗倒在刀下，我们的妻子儿女也被掳掠。
10现在我心中有意，与耶和华以色列的神立约，好使他的烈怒转离我们。
11我的众子啊，现在不要懈怠，因为耶和华拣选你们站在他面前事奉他，与他烧香。”

希西家首先做了甚么呢？他首先承认以色列所犯的罪（6至7节）。这永远是蒙福的开始。接着，他召见祭司和利未人，鼓励他们事奉神。请看第11节：「我的众子啊……耶和华拣选你们站在他面前事奉他，与他烧香。」
这是何等的特权！又是何等的责任！我们今天岂不是一样吗？神已经拣选我们事奉祂和敬拜祂，我们不要荒废时间，我们蒙召是要积极事奉祂。
正如许多其他人一样，利未人是蒙神呼召作特别的事奉。今天，神是否呼召我们当中的一些人，去参与一些特殊的事奉岗位？神岂不是经常呼召人去事奉祂吗？
作祭司的利未人要把圣殿中一切不洁净的物品清除（16节），唯有这样，圣殿才能分别为圣，用来敬拜神。我们岂不是要清理生命中的罪吗？诗篇六十六篇18节说：「我若心里注重罪孽，主必不听。」
经过一段时间的努力筹备之后，重新奉献圣殿的日子终于到了。我们看见一幅非常动人的景象！除了献祭以外，还有唱诗和奏乐。当祝福临到，颂赞就联袂而至。
本章的最后一节描述得非常清晰：「希西家和众民都喜乐，是因神为众民所预备的。」
当属神的人认罪悔改，认定自己在神前的岗位，并遵从祂的教导而行，神就必马上与他们相遇。祂正等着我们如此行，祂必将祝福浇灌在我们身上。
我们今天处于甚么光景呢？究竟有甚么东西拦阻我们复兴呢？
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN REVIVAL COMES?
2 Chronicles 29:1-11
1 Hezekiah became king when he was twenty-five years old, and he reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Abijah the daughter of Zechariah.
2 And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father David had done.
3 In the first year of his reign, in the first month, he opened the doors of the house of the LORD and repaired them.
4 Then he brought in the priests and the Levites, and gathered them in the East Square,
5 and said to them: “Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the LORD God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.
6 For our fathers have trespassed and done evil in the eyes of the LORD our God; they have forsaken Him, have turned their faces away from the dwelling place of the LORD, and turned their backs on Him.
7 They have also shut up the doors of the vestibule, put out the lamps, and have not burned incense or offered burnt offerings in the holy place to the God of Israel.
8 Therefore the wrath of the LORD fell upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has given them up to trouble, to desolation, and to jeering, as you see with your eyes.
9 For indeed, because of this our fathers have fallen by the sword; and our sons, our daughters, and our wives are in captivity.
10 “Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with the LORD God of Israel, that His fierce wrath may turn away from us.
11 My sons, do not be negligent now, for the LORD has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that you should minister to Him and burn incense.”
Message
What did Hezekiah do first? He confessed Israel’s sin (vv. 6, 7). That is still the starting point of blessing. Then he called in the priests and Levites and challenged them to serve the Lord. Look at verse 11 again, “My sons ... the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him and serve Him, to minister before Him.”
What a privilege! What a responsibility! Isn't our position exactly the same as theirs? God has chosen us to serve Him and to worship Him. We are not here to waste time. We are called to be active for Him.
The Levites were called to special service as many others have been. Is the Lord looking for some of us to step into specialized ministry? How often does He have to call?
The Levites (v.16) brought out all the unclean things found in the temple. They had to be gotten rid of in order to consecrate the place for God's worship. Doesn't the same apply to our lives? Psalm 66:18 says, “If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.”
It took time and effort but finally the day of re-dedication came. What a scene! There were the offerings but there was singing and instrumental music also. When blessing comes, praise is not far behind.
The last verse of the chapter is so descriptive. “Hezekiah and all the people praised God for what He had brought about for His people, because it was done so quickly.”
When God's people confess their sin, recognize their position before God, and become obedient to Him, God will meet them right there. He is waiting to pour out His blessings onto those who fulfill these conditions.
