你正在经历风暴吗？
约翰福音六章15至21节
15耶稣既知道众人要来强逼他作王，就独自又退到山上去了。
16到了晚上，他的门徒下海边去，
17上了船，要过海往迦百农去。天已经黑了，耶稣还没有来到他们那里。
18忽然狂风大作，海就翻腾起来。
19门徒摇橹，约行了十里多路，看见耶稣在海面上走，渐渐近了船，他们就害怕。
20耶稣对他们说：是我，不要怕！
21门徒就喜欢接他上船，船立时到了他们所要去的地方。

让我们先想想这批遇上风暴的门徒。他们在不久之前，还在广大的群众面前，得到主的奇妙使用(给五千人吃饱)。但后来，群众想拥立基督作王，基督却不肯满足他们的愿望；所以，我们不难想像，门徒现在也许跟群众一样感到相当的失望。好了，他们如今在漆黑的湖上，刚巧遇上风暴，基督却不在他们身边，你想，门徒的心情会是怎么样呢？你曾否试过，经过蒙受祝福的美好一天，翌日却「淌在污水之中」？
为甚么会出现风暴呢？这当然可以从大自然的角度来解释：因为湖上经常刮起大风(18节)。但从属灵的角度而言，可能是撒但在背后兴风作浪。但我们要记住，当基督吩咐门徒上船出海的时候，祂已经知道风暴将至。这对我们来说是一大教训！我们遇上试炼的时候，必须记住基督是知道的--当风暴未曾临到之前，祂其实早已知道，但祂仍然让我们进入风暴，那是为甚么呢？就是为了要显出祂的大能，并加增我们的信心。
接着，掌管风暴的主，便以一种完全超乎人想像的方式出现--祂竟然在风高浪急的水面上行走，直来到门徒的船上。风暴对祂好像全无影响。然后，祂便开口对门徒说：「是我。」这话听进门徒耳中，实在是太美妙了！你曾否试过在黑暗中迷路，徬徨之际，却听见有人呼喊你的名字？
其他福音书告诉我们，当耶稣一来到船上，风暴就立即离开了。祂的同在，岂不一样带给我们奇妙的改变？这位万有之主，今天正与你同在。

Going Through A Storm?
John 6:15-21
15 Therefore when Jesus perceived that they were about to come and take Him by force to make Him king, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone.
16 Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea,
17 got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them.
18 Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing.
19 So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid.
20 But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.”
21 Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

Think first of the men in the storm. They had been wonderfully used by the Lord in front of a big crowd (the 50,000 fed). The crowd wanted to make Christ king, but he wouldn't let them. Imagine the disappointment of his disciples. Now they were in darkness out on the lake in a storm and Christ wasn't with them. Have you ever been 'down in the dumps' after a wonderful day of blessing? Was that how the disciples felt?
What was the meaning of the storm? There were natural reasons for it. Winds often came up suddenly on the lake (v.18). Perhaps Satan was behind this storm, too. But remember this, Christ knew the storm was coming when he sent them out on to the water in their boat. What a lesson for us! When we are being tested, let us remember Christ knows about the test. He knows about the storm, before it comes to us yet he still allows us to go into it. Why? To show his power and to increase our faith.
Then came the Master of the storm. He came in a most unexpected way, walking on the waves which were troubling them. The storm makes no difference to him. Then he spoke. How wonderful it must have been to hear him say, 'It is I'. Have you ever been lost in the dark and suddenly heard someone calling your name?
The other gospels tell us the wind went away as soon as Jesus came. Doesn't his presence make a marvelous difference? He is Master of everything and he is with you today.
