安得烈和他的兄弟遇见耶稣
约翰福音一章29至42节
29次日，约翰看见耶稣来到他那里，就说：“看哪，神的羔羊，除去（注：或作“背负”）世人罪孽的。
30这就是我曾说‘有一位在我以后来，反成了在我以前的，因他本来在我以前。’
31我先前不认识他，如今我来用水施洗，为要叫他显明给以色列人。”
32约翰又作见证说：“我曾看见圣灵仿佛鸽子从天降下，住在他的身上。
33我先前不认识他，只是那差我来用水施洗的，对我说：‘你看见圣灵降下来，住在谁的身上，谁就是用圣灵施洗的。’
34我看见了，就证明这是神的儿子。”
35再次日，约翰同两个门徒站在那里。
36他见耶稣行走，就说：“看哪，这是神的羔羊!”
37两个门徒听见他的话，就跟从了耶稣。
38耶稣转过身来，看见他们跟着，就问他们说：“你们要甚么？”他们说：“拉比（“拉比”翻出来就是“夫子”），在哪里住？”
39耶稣说：“你们来看。”他们就去看他在哪里住，这一天便与他同住。那时约有申正了。
40听见约翰的话，跟从耶稣的那两个人，一个是西门彼得的兄弟安得烈。
41他先找着自己的哥哥西门，对他说：“我们遇见弥赛亚了（“弥赛亚”翻出来就是“基督”）！”
42于是领他去见耶稣。耶稣看着他说：“你是约翰的儿子西门（注：“约翰”马太16章17节称“约拿”），你要称为矶法（“矶法”翻出来就是“彼得”）。”

此刻，约翰突然在人群中看见祂，便忘形地高呼着说：「看哪，就是祂，我告诉你们的神的羔羊。」次日，再次出现同样的场面，约翰又再次指认祂的身份。约翰身边的人群中有两个人，他们是兄弟俩，专程从加利利下来，想听听这位人人谈论的新兴布道家说些甚么，他们就是安德烈和西门彼得。
安得烈听见约翰指出耶稣的身份，并记得约翰早前说过将有一位救主要来。于是，安得烈决定跟着耶稣，看看祂住在哪里。在基督的邀请下，安德烈到祂的家中住了一晚。这个晚上，彻底改变了他的一生，他一直要寻找的那一位，现在终于找到了。每一个真正认识耶稣基督的人，他们的生命都会彻底改变。
找到并相信基督之后，安得烈立即跑去找他的兄弟，将这个喜讯告诉他。约翰的布道引领安得烈寻见基督，如今，又因着人与人的关系，安德烈引领彼得去寻找耶稣。安得烈走了多远呢？我们不知道；但他对彼得说的话却非常简洁清晰：「我们寻见基督了。」没有人教安得烈这样做；只因他与基督一夜的相交之后，便产生了这样的结果。
安得烈的话很简单，却是出于他的真实体认，说得非常肯定。请留意，安得烈是亲口作见证的。我们经常以为，我们只要为主忠心而活，就不用讲见证了；但其实两者都同样重要。求主这星期赐给你机会，让我们能够像安得烈一样为主作见证。
ANDREW AND HIS BROTHER MEET JESUS
John 1: 29-42
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
30 This is He of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who is preferred before me, for He was before me.’
31 I did not know Him; but that He should be revealed to Israel, therefore I came baptizing with water.”
32 And John bore witness, saying, “I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and He remained upon Him.
33 I did not know Him, but He who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’
34 And I have seen and testified that this is the Son of God.”
35 Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples.
36 And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!”
37 The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and seeing them following, said to them, “What do you seek?”They said to Him, “Rabbi” (which is to say, when translated, Teacher), “where are You staying?”
39 He said to them, “Come and see.” They came and saw where He was staying, and remained with Him that day (now it was about the tenth hour).
40 One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).
42 And he brought him to Jesus. Now when Jesus looked at him, He said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is translated, A Stone).
Message
Suddenly, John saw Him coming through the crowd and he dramatically called out, “Look there He is, the Lamb of God I’ve been telling you about.” Next day, almost the same scene and the same identification occurred. In the crowd around John there were two men, two brothers, who had come down from Galilee to hear this new evangelist everyone was talking about. They are Andrew and Simon Peter.
Andrew was there when John pointed to Jesus, and remembered all that John had said about the coming one, Andrew decided to follow Jesus and find out where He was staying. At Christ’s invitation, Andrew spent the whole evening with Him. That night changed Andrew’s life forever. He found what he had wanted and had been looking for. Anyone who really meets Jesus Christ for himself is never the same again.
Then, after finding and believing in Christ, Andrew went and found his own brother to tell him the great news. John’ preaching brought Andrew to Christ. Human relationship brought Peter. How far did Andrew have to go? We don’t know, but his words to Peter were so clear, “we have found the Christ (Messiah).” No one told Andrew to do this. It was simply the result of a night of fellowship with Christ.
Andrew’s words were quite simple, but were spoken with certainty out of his own experience. Notice they were spoken words. We often think living faithfully for Christ exempts us from personal witnessing, but both are needed. Why not ask the Lord to give you an opportunity this week to speak a word of witness just like Andrew did?
