遵行神的旨意
路加福音四章1至13节
1耶稣被圣灵充满，从约但河回来，圣灵将他引到旷野，四十天受魔鬼的试探。
2那些日子没有吃甚么；日子满了，他就饿了。
3魔鬼对他说：你若是神的儿子，可以吩咐这块石头变成食物。
4耶稣回答说：经上记着说：人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠神口里所出的一切话。
5魔鬼又领他上了高山，霎时间把天下的万国都指给他看，
6对他说：这一切权柄、荣华，我都要给你，因为这原是交付我的，我愿意给谁就给谁。
7你若在我面前下拜，这都要归你。
8耶稣说：经上记着说：当拜主─你的神，单要事奉他。
9魔鬼又领他到耶路撒冷去，叫他站在殿顶（顶：原文是翅）上，对他说：你若是神的儿子，可以从这里跳下去；
10因为经上记着说：主要为你吩咐他的使者保护你；
11他们要用手托着你，免得你的脚碰在石头上。
12耶稣对他说：经上说：不可试探主─你的神。
13魔鬼用完了各样的试探，就暂时离开耶稣。

不过，撒但却有个条件，其中藏有陷阱：「你只要敬拜我，这些都要归给你。」这是一条捷径，基督可以立即轻松地赢得这个世界，而无须死在十字架上。但我们的主却知道，听从撒但的话要付出甚么代价，所以，祂直截了当地回应他：「当拜主你的神，单要事奉他。」再次击败了撒但。
最后一个试探也相似。撒但提议基督作一惊人之举，如此，祂便能一举成名。他说：「当着群众面前，从殿顶跳下来，你必平安，天使必接住你。」然而，耶稣来到世上，并不是为了追求名望，而是要亲自触动人的生命。
基督再次引用申命记的经文回应撒但：「不可试探主你的神。」这句话可意译为：「名望与所谓『成功』，并不是我所关心的事。我的责任是要每天遵行神的旨意。」
撒但再次被击败，终于无功而还；但请留意第13节说：「魔鬼……就暂时离开耶稣。」撒但仿如一名拳击手，他暂时退后，为了看清对方的弱点，然后再次出击。撒但一直没有放弃，当基督被钉在十字架上的时候，他还去试探祂。但基督却一直忠于神的话语和神的旨意，因此如今便得以坐在神的右边。对我们今天来说，这是何等宝贵的教训。学习并用心体会哥林多前书十章13节可以给我们极大的帮助，请找出来，反复阅读，直到牢记在心。
ACTING OUT OF GOD’S WILL
Luke 4: 1-13
1 Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
3 And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
4 But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
5 Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
8 And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
9 Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.
10 For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you,’
11 and,‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
12 And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’”
13 Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.

But there was a catch in Satan’s words, a hidden trap. “You just worship me and you can have it all.” (GNB) That would be an easy way, a quick way to win the world without His death on the cross. But our Lord knew all that was involved and replied plainly and clearly, “(The Word of God says) Worship only the Lord your God. Serve Him with absolute single-heartedness.” (The Message) Satan was again defeated.
The other temptation was similar. Satan suggested a spectacular action which would have given Christ enormous publicity. “Jump off the top of the temple in front of a large crowd. You’ll be safe. The angels will catch you.” But Jesus had come to touch people’s lives and was not looking merely for publicity.
Once more Christ replied by quoting Deuteronomy. “Never try to put God to the test. Never act when He has not told you to do so.” It could be paraphrased, “Publicity and so called success is not my affair. My responsibility is to remain day by day in God’s will.”
Satan left defeated. But look again at verse 13, “Satan left Him until a more opportune time.” He was like a boxer stepping back to see where he could land the next punch. Satan never gave up and even tempted Christ while on the cross. But Christ stayed true to the Word and the Will of God and is now seated at the Father’s right hand. What a lesson for us today. A most helpful verse to mark and to learn by heart is 1 Corinthians 10: 13. Turn to it now and read it over and over until its message has laid hold of your heart and mind.
