神的儿子住在世人中间
约翰福音一章14至18节
14 道成了肉身，住在我们中间，充充满满的有恩典有真理。我们也见过他的荣光，正是父独生子的荣光。
15 约翰为他作见证，喊着说：「这就是我曾说：『那在我以后来的，反成了在我以前的，因他本来在我以前。』」
16 从他丰满的恩典里，我们都领受了，而且恩上加恩。
17 律法本是借着摩西传的；恩典和真理都是由耶稣基督来的。
18 从来没有人看见神，只有在父怀里的独生子将他表明出来。

知名人仕出外旅游的时候，总是喜欢隐藏身份；但很多时候，别人却可以凭着他们的言行举止把他们认出来。
当耶稣「道成肉身」活在地上的期间，祂在不少公开场合中的言行表现，均彰显出神儿子所拥有的荣耀和权能，仿如太阳虽隐藏在云层背后，但云层却无法遮掩其光芒，光芒始终从云边透射出来一样。约翰说：「我们也见过他的荣光」；在他所写的福音书中，我们便看见不少的实例。例如，一章33节记述耶稣受洗的情景。祂的受洗，有甚么与众不同的地方？那就是在祂受洗之后，圣灵从天降下，住在祂的身上，在旁的人便得见「祂的荣光」。
第二章记述耶稣应邀参加一个婚筵。他与其他嘉宾一起坐席，本没有任何表现令人觉得祂有特殊之处，直到酒用尽了，祂把清水变成好酒，这神迹便显出祂的荣耀。接着在同一章，记述耶稣进入圣殿，把在殿中作买卖和兑换银钱的人赶走，使圣殿再次成为祷告的殿，这行动便充份显出了祂的权能。
全本约翰福音都不时透射出这类荣光。耶稣基督虽降世为人，但祂自始至终都是永生神的儿子。所以，当多马亲眼见到主时，便不禁高呼说：「我的主！我的神！」
请不要忘记，耶稣之所以从天降世，住在我们中间，完全是因为祂爱我们。祂来是为了拯救我们；祂来是为了替我们的罪受死。难道这一切还不足以使我们时刻感谢祂吗？
反思：
耶稣基督是永不改变的。祂昔日如何，今天也是如何。
God's Son Living in Our World
John 1:14-18
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 John bore witness of Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me is preferred before me, for He was before me.’”
16 And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
Message
Famous people have sometimes tried to travel without letting others know who they are. But often they have been found out, possibly by the things they did or said.
When Jesus was here on earth (when he was 'made flesh') there were many occasions when his glory ad power as the Son of God shone through. It was like the rays of the sun shining out from the edges of a cloud. John says 'we beheld his glory'. So often in the gospel of John this is true. In John 1:33 the baptism of Jesus is mentioned. What happened that did not happen when anyone else was baptised? The Spirit of God came down on him and those standing nearby 'beheld his glory'.
In chapter 2, Jesus attended a wedding. He looked just like any other man until the need arose. Then John says he showed his glory as he turned cold, clear water into red sparkling wine. In the same chapter Jesus went into the Temple and his power shone through as he cleaned it out to make it a house of prayer once more.
These rays of glory can be seen through the whole book of John. Jesus Christ was a man in our world but he was always the eternal Son of God as well. When Thomas saw this for himself, he cried out 'My Lord and my God'.
Remember this - Jesus came and lived in our world because he loved us. He came to save us. He came to die for us. Why not thank him again just now for all of this?

Jesus Christ never changes. What he was then, he is still today.
