为甚么圣经独一无二？
提摩太后书三章14至17节
14但你所学习的、所确信的，要存在心里，因为你知道是跟谁学的。
15并且知道你是从小明白圣经；这圣经能使你因信基督耶稣有得救的智慧。
16圣经都是神所默示的（注：或作“凡神所默示的圣经”），于教训、督责、使人归正、教导人学义都是有益的，
17叫属神的人得以完全，预备行各样的善事。

圣经的真正作者是神自己，但由人笔录下来。它揭示了神的心意，而且一直蒙神的亲自保存。它的信息历久常新；至今仍是世界上最畅销的书。它当然是独一无二。
圣经从何而来呢？圣经自言是神所默示的。神，也就是圣灵，是作者。但人手记下神想要说或记载的。这个过程如何进行呢？圣经没有具体告诉我们，不过，神既然要用人无误地把祂的启示记下，祂就必然监察整个过程。我们便把这个过程称为「默示」；「默示」这个词的原文意思是「神的呼气」。
默示的过程并没有影响执笔者本人的写作风格，所以，我们可以认出哪些书信是保罗的，哪些是约翰的。圣经的写作年期跨越了至少一千六百年，约有四十个不同的执笔人；然而，书卷之间并没有出现前后矛盾，反之却能相互印证。它的和谐一致是独一无二的。
它的内容也是独一无二的。整部圣经记述神怎样寻找人，如何渴望与人相交。神斥责人的罪，但祂的爱是如此伟大，以致祂甘愿牺牲祂儿子的性命来救赎我们。
旧约中有很多奇妙的故事，述说神在人遗忘祂的话语时，如何用方法唤醒人再次重视祂的话语。同样，教会历史中也有许多故事，述说神如何使用人将祂的话语带回应有的位置，并发挥应有的影响力。
反思：圣经在我们的心中和生活中，占据怎样的位置呢？
WHAT MAKES THE BIBLE UNIQUE?
2 Timothy 3: 14-17
14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them,
15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Message
This book was authored by God, yet recorded by men and women. It reveals the heart of God and it has been preserved by the hand of God. It is old yet always fresh. It remains the best seller of the world. It certainly is a unique book.
Where did it come from? The Bible claims to be inspired by God. God, the Holy Spirit, was the author but human hands recorded what God wanted to say or be written down. How did this take place? We are not told specifically, but obviously some kind of supervision was necessary if human hands were to record without error what God had revealed. We call this inspiration. The meaning of the world is “God-breathed”.
In inspiration the personality of the writer comes through clearly. You can recognise Paul’s words or John’s. There were about 40 different writers over a period of at least 1600 years. Yet no writer contradicts another. Each confirms what others have written. It is unique in its unity.
It is also unique in its contents. The whole Bible is a record of God reaching out to man, wanting his fellowship. God speaks out against man’s sin, but God’s love is so great that even if it costs the life of His son, He was willing for that to take place.
There are remarkable stories in the Old Testament about how God brought His word to light after it had been hidden or forgotten. Similarly there are stories in the church history where God used men to bring His word back into its proper position and influence.
Today’s question for each of us - what place does this Book have in our hearts and lives?
