走著，跳著，讚美神
使徒行傳三章1至11節
1申初禱告的時候，彼得、約翰上聖殿去。
2有一個人，生來是瘸腿的，天天被人抬來，放在殿的一個門口，那門名叫美門，要求進殿的人賙濟。
3他看見彼得、約翰將要進殿，就求他們賙濟。
4彼得約翰定睛看他；彼得說：你看我們！
5那人就留意看他們，指望得著甚麼。
6彼得說：金銀我都沒有，只把我所有的給你：我奉拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名，叫你起來行走！
7於是拉著他的右手，扶他起來；他的腳和踝子骨立刻健壯了，
8就跳起來，站著，又行走，同他們進了殿，走著，跳著，讚美神。
9百姓都看見他行走，讚美神；
10認得他是那素常坐在殿的美門口求賙濟的，就因他所遇著的事滿心希奇、驚訝。
11那人正在稱為所羅門的廊下，拉著彼得、約翰；眾百姓一齊跑到他們那裡，很覺希奇。

這樣的神蹟醫治當然是很奇妙和觸目的。然而，彼得隨後所宣講的救恩(三12-19)，卻是一個更奇妙的神蹟，可惜我們卻經常把它忽略了。
假設你的教會在某個聚會中，有一個患了重病的人得著醫治，而另一個人則決志把生命交給耶穌基督，因而得著救恩。試想，當散會之後，眾人在回家途中，最多談論的會是哪個人呢？顯然是前者了，你說是嗎？
然而，耶穌在約翰福音十四章12節向門徒說了些甚麼呢？祂應許他們，他們要作更大的事。怎麼可能呢？因為門徒將來的工作，會引領人得著救恩；那當然比醫治人的身體更偉大了。
救恩能給人永遠的好處；相比之下，身體得著醫治只能帶來暫時的好處，頂多只能持續至今生。救恩卻能引帶我們進入天堂，與基督一起，直至永永遠遠。
神並沒有在每個人身上行醫治的神蹟，然而，任何人只要奉耶穌的名向神求取救恩，神就必然賜予。你是否已經祈求耶穌基督進入你的生命之中，讓祂來拯救你，使你不再永遠與神隔絕呢？請讀使徒行傳四章12節，請記著：除了耶穌基督之外，再無任何人可以拯救你了。
只要你願意邀請耶穌基督進入你的心中，你就必得著神所賜的喜樂與平安。你或許未必一下子感受得到，但隨著你學習去信靠神的話語，你將發現你內心的喜樂與平安必與日俱增。
WALKING, LEAPING AND PRAISING GOD
Acts 3: 1 – 11
1 Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.
2 And a certain man lame from his mother’s womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple;
3 who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked for alms.
4 And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, “Look at us.”
5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”
7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
10 Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
11 Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.
Message
A miracle of healing like this is wonderful and would always attract attention. But the miracle of salvation which Peter went on to talk about (3: 12 – 19) is even more wonderful. Yet sometimes we do not realise that truth.
Supposing in one of our church services a man was healed of a serious illness and another man gave his heart and life to Jesus Christ and was saved. Which man would people talk about the most as they went home? They would talk more about the man who was healed rather than the man who was saved, don’t you think?
Yet what did Jesus say to the disciples in John 14:12? He promised that they would do even greater works than those that he had done. How? Because their work would be to bring men and women to the place of salvation and that is even greater than just healing their bodies.
Salvation lasts for ever and ever. Physical healing only lasts as long as we are here on earth. Salvation carries us on into heaven and eternity with Christ.
God doesn’t give healing to everyone but he does give salvation to anyone who asks for it in the name of Jesus. Have you asked Jesus Christ to come into your heart and life and save you from being separated from God for ever? Read Acts 4:12 and see for yourself that there is no-one else who can save you, only Jesus Christ.
If you will do this just now, there will come happiness and peace into your life. It may not come immediately but as you learn to trust God’s Word for yourself, that peace and joy will grow in your heart.
