福音的重要信息：一個必要的詞--信心
希伯來書十一章1至10節
1信就是所望之事的實底，是未見之事的確據。
2古人在這信上得了美好的證據。
3我們因著信，就知道諸世界是藉神話造成的；這樣，所看見的，並不是從顯然之物造出來的。
4亞伯因著信，獻祭與神，比該隱所獻的更美，因此便得了稱義的見證，就是神指他禮物作的見證。他雖然死了，卻因這信，仍舊說話。
5以諾因著信，被接去，不至於見死，人也找不著他，因為神已經把他接去了；只是他被接去以先，已經得了神喜悅他的明證。
6人非有信，就不能得神的喜悅；因為到神面前來的人必須信有神，且信他賞賜那尋求他的人。
7挪亞因著信，既蒙神指示他未見的事，動了敬畏的心，預備了一隻方舟，使他全家得救。因此就定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那從信而來的義。
8亞伯拉罕因著信，蒙召的時候就遵命出去，往將來要得為業的地方去；出去的時候，還不知往那裡去。
9他因著信，就在所應許之地作客，好像在異地居住帳棚，與那同蒙一個應許的以撒、雅各一樣。
10因為他等候那座有根基的城，就是神所經營所建造的。
信息分享
我們似乎很難為「信心」下定義，但它卻是我們日常生活的必備要素。當人造了一座橋，看來十分簡陋和原始，因此，當人要走過它，或駕車經過它的時候，便需要有一定的信心，相信橋是穩固安全的。當農夫耕種的時候，他也要有信心相信將來必有收成。甚至是你坐在椅子上，也需要有信心相信椅子是穩固的。當你把錢放進銀行的時候，也是一種信心的表現。聽從醫生的指示服藥，同樣是信心的行動。
神同樣要我們運用這個信心的原則，藉著相信祂的兒子耶穌基督，來得著祂為我們所預備的救恩。我們必須用信心接受神為我們所成就的一切，才能得著救恩。
我們並非只是張開雙手去領受救恩。我們願意接受，乃因我們相信那位為我們成就救恩，而甘願獻上自己的救主。
我們若要得著神所應許的救恩，就不單起初要相信，還要堅持相信到底。
聖經一直強調個人的信心。別人可以為我們做很多事，卻不可以代替我們相信。我們必須決定是否相信，並堅定持守本身的信心。
得救的信心，是始於不再把目光放在自己，以及自己所作的事上，轉而唯獨仰望耶穌。
信心不在乎行動，而在乎倚靠。信心並非憑藉感覺，而是在於信靠神的話。你的信心是以甚麼作為基礎呢？
牢記經文：

GREAT WORD OF THE GOSPEL The Necessary Word - FAITH
Hebrews 11:1-10
1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.
3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.
4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
5 By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
7 By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise;
10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
Message
A Sunday School teacher asked, 'What do we mean by faith?' A little boy answered, 'Believing things you know aren't true. 'No, faith is not that. Faith is confidence in what God has said, and therefore we believe His word as being true.
Faith may seem hard to define yet it is a universal principle. If men build a bridge, however primitive it is, they exercise faith when they walk, ride or drive across it. Farmers exercise faith whenever they plant a crop. Even to sit on a chair is to show faith. You believe it will hold you. Putting money in a bank is an act of faith. Obeying a doctor shows our faith in him.
God has chosen this principle of faith to be the link that leads to salvation through His Son Jesus Christ. Faith is accepting what God has done as the only means of salvation.
It is not only opening our hands to receive. It is taking what is offered because we believe in the one who is making the offer.
This initial act of trusting God becomes the pertinent abiding attitude of the soul which has accepted God's promise of salvation.
Faith is personal. Many things can be done for us by other people but not exercising faith. Personal faith is the only kind recognised in the Bible. We must have it for ourselves.
Saving by faith is looking away from ourselves and from what we have done or can do and looking to Christ alone.
Faith is not doing, it is resting. Faith is not based on feelings but it is taking God at His word. Are you doing that?
REMEMBER THIS VERSE: 'Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.' (Hebrews 11:1)
