我們該為甚麼事情禱告？
帖撒羅尼迦後書三章1至5節、16節
1弟兄們，我還有話說：請你們為我們禱告，好叫主的道理快快行開，得著榮耀，正如在你們中間一樣；
2也叫我們脫離無理之惡人的手，因為人不都是有信心。
3但主是信實的，要堅固你們，保護你們脫離那惡者（註：或作“脫離兇惡”）。
4我們靠主深信，你們現在是遵行我們所吩咐的，後來也必要遵行。
5願主引導你們的心，叫你們愛神，並學基督的忍耐。
16願賜平安的主隨時隨事親自給你們平安。願主常與你們眾人同在！

我們是否為教會能將福音傳開，切切向神禱告？我們有否為自己傳福音的心志和機會祈禱呢？我們是否只享受教會的相交生活，卻不願意與那些逼切需要福音的人，分享福音的好處？
保羅請他們代禱的另一件事，就是求神保守他。為神作工的僕人，乃是在參與一場屬靈的爭戰。我們的敵人撒但和他的污鬼正加緊攻擊神的僕人。我們看見許多牧者心身耗盡，許多宣教士因患病而提早退休，事主的人倒退了。豈不是撒但在背後攻擊嗎？我們是否經常為神的僕人禱告，求神保守他們呢？這是我們的一項特權和責任。你是否每天為你的牧者、他的事奉，還有其他宣教士禱告呢？你必須每天為他們禱告。
值得留意的是，保羅從不會為自己的生活素質或面對的困難抱怨。保羅知道，神是信實的，即使其他人失信於他，他仍可以凡事倚靠神（3至5節）。
保羅最後提醒他們，無論在任何境況之下，神必賜他們平安（16節）。這就是作神兒女的其中一項福份（參約翰福音十四27）。但我們必須向神求取這份平安，並且歡喜快樂地享受。無論我們身處任何境況，或面對任何試煉、問題，我們都可以經歷這份平安。求神今天就讓你得著這份平安吧！
WHAT CAN WE PRAY FOR?
2 Thessalonians 3: 1-5 & 16
1 Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you,
2 and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith.
3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
4 And we have confidence in the Lord concerning you, both that you do and will do the things we command you.
5 Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ.
16 Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all.

Are we praying enough for the outreach of our church? Or our own outreach? Are we glad for the fellowship we enjoy but are not willing to share it with others who may need it even more than we do?
Then Paul requested prayers for God's protection. All who are special servants of God are involved in spiritual warfare. Our enemy, Satan and his demons are increasingly active. Christian workers failed. Pastors were burnt out, and missionaries retired because of ill health. Was Satan behind that? How often do we pray for protection for God's servants? It is one of our privileges and responsibilities. Do you pray daily for your pastor, his ministry, and missionaries, too? You need to.
Notice that Paul was not complaining about his way of life or the problems he was facing. God was always faithful and Paul knew he could count on Him, even if everyone else has failed him. (vv.3-5)
Finally Paul reminded them that there was peace available under all circumstances (v.16). This is part of our heritage as children of God. (Look at John 14:27). But it must be appropriated and received to be enjoyed. Peace can be our experience no matter what our circumstances or tests or problems we may be facing. Ask God to make it real to you today.
