重見光明
約翰福音九章1至11節
1耶穌過去的時候，看見一個人生來是瞎眼的。
2門徒問耶穌說：拉比，這人生來是瞎眼的，是誰犯了罪？是這人呢？是他父母呢？
3耶穌回答說：也不是這人犯了罪，也不是他父母犯了罪，是要在他身上顯出神的作為來。
4趁著白日，我們必須做那差我來者的工；黑夜將到，就沒有人能做工了。
5我在世上的時候，是世上的光。
6耶穌說了這話，就吐唾沫在地上，用唾沫和泥抹在瞎子的眼睛上，
7對他說：你往西羅亞池子裡去洗（西羅亞繙出來就是奉差遣）。他去一洗，回頭就看見了。
8他的鄰舍和那素常見他是討飯的，就說：這不是那從前坐著討飯的人麼？
9有人說：是他；又有人說；不是，卻是像他。他自己說：是我。
10他們對他說：你的眼睛是怎麼開的呢？
11他回答說：有一個人，名叫耶穌，他和泥抹我的眼睛，對我說：你往西羅亞池子去洗。我去一洗，就看見了。

四卷福音書總共記載了六個關乎基督治好瞎子的神蹟；但只有現在這個的主人公是天生瞎眼的。門徒詢問基督的問題，顯示他們最感興趣的，是想探知這個人生下來瞎眼，究竟是誰犯罪的惡果；但基督最關心的，卻是這位瞎子本身的需要，並且希望藉此機會來彰顯神的榮耀。
基督並沒有立即把這名瞎子醫好，反之，祂吩咐他到西羅亞池去洗他的眼。這人若想獲得醫治，就必須聽從基督的指示去做。他生來瞎眼，責任不在他；可是，他決定是否聽從基督的話去做，卻是他個人的責任。
當他聽從基督的話去做，他就立即永久性地恢復了視力，得以重見光明。他雖然不知道自己是怎樣被醫好的，但他卻能夠作出美好的見證，請讀第25節：「有一件事我知道，從前我是眼瞎的，如今能看見了」。這是他的親身經歷，他當然知道得最清楚了！他過往一直活在黑暗之中，現在卻重見光明了。
在我們祈求基督進入我們生命中的那一刻，我們未必知道會有甚麼事情發生，然而，我們卻確實地知道發生了某些改變。哥林多後書五章17節正好把這種改變清楚地描述出來：「若有人在基督裡，他就是新造的人，舊事已過，都變成新的了」。
我們可以放心信靠聖經的應許。神的話語清楚告訴我們，人若求告基督的名，就可得著救恩。我們無須對此抱有疑惑，只要相信基督必照我們所求的賜下救恩，我們的生命就必顯出基督所帶來的改變了。
反思：
一個大罪人，更需要接受一位偉大的救主，而他的生命必得著翻天覆地的改變。
HOW ARE YOUR EYES?
John 9: 1 – 11
1 Now as Jesus passed by, He saw a man who was blind from birth.
2 And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.
4 I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”
6 When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.
7 And He said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.
8 Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said, “Is not this he who sat and begged?”
9 Some said, “This is he.” Others said, “He is like him.”
He said, “I am he.”
10 Therefore they said to him, “How were your eyes opened?”
11 He answered and said, “A Man called Jesus made clay and anointed my eyes and said to me, ‘Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and I received sight.”
Message
There are six miracles in the gospels in which Christ gave someone their sight. This man was the only one who was said to have been born blind. The disciples wanted to ask a question about who was to blame for his blindness, but Christ saw a man in need and an opportunity to glorify God.
Christ did not make it easy for this man. He gave him something to do (‘Go and wash your eyes in a pool some distance away’). The man had to do what Christ had told him to do. He was not responsible for his being born blind, but he was responsible for accepting or rejecting Christ’s words.
When he obeyed Christ, his sight was given to him, instantly and permanently. The man didn’t really know how it all happened but he had a wonderful testimony. Read verse 25. ‘One thing I know, whereas I was blind, now I see’. He was sure about that, because he had the proof in his own eyesight.
We may not know everything that took place in us when we asked Christ to come into our lives, but we do know that something has really happened. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says it so well, ‘If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new’.
And we can be sure about that. God’s Word tells us that if we have called on Christ for salvation, it is ours now. There is no need to doubt it but simply to believe it, and our life will show the difference Christ has made.

Great sinners need a great Saviour. The result is always a great miracle.
