天上的財寶
馬太福音六章19至24節
19不要為自己積儹財寶在地上；地上有蟲子咬，能鏽壞，也有賊挖窟窿來偷。
20只要積儹財寶在天上；天上沒有蟲子咬，不能鏽壞，也沒有賊挖窟窿來偷。
21因為你的財寶在那裡，你的心也在那裡。
22眼睛就是身上的燈。你的眼睛若瞭亮，全身就光明；
23你的眼睛若昏花，全身就黑暗。你裡頭的光若黑暗了，那黑暗是何等大呢！
24一個人不能事奉兩個主；不是惡這個，愛那個，就是重這個，輕那個。你們不能又事奉神，又事奉瑪門（瑪門：財利的意思）。

我們太容易相信自己可以永遠保住金錢和財產，不會失掉它們。可是，在現實中，我們卻在很多情況下會失掉或被別人奪去財產。
我們的主並沒有說，我們不應賺錢或置業。我們需要用錢來維持生計。但假如我們的心思意念完全被金錢所佔據，每天的生活只懂得鑽營賺錢；那麼，我們就會完全看不見自己的屬靈需要。我們需要學習善用錢財，不單用來滿足本身的需要，更要慷慨解囊，幫助有需要的人，以及用來支持普世的宣教工作。
並非只有富人才能夠參與神的工作，或積蓄財寶在天上。主所看重的，是那些收入微薄卻樂意奉獻的人。保羅曾經引用基督的話來勸勉信徒說：「施比受更為有福」(徒二十35)。
第24節也提醒我們，我們不能同時事奉兩個主。一個以「賺錢致富」作為人生目標的人，不可能同時積財寶在天上。
我們要決定誰是人生的主人──是我們自己還是基督。這個決定將會影響我們如何運用神所賜給我們的一切。
倘若我們以耶穌基督作為我們的主，那麼我們生命中的一切便要交由祂作主。我們只是以管家的身分來管理生命中的一切；我們的時間會用來服侍主和參與祂的工作；我們會讓聖靈在我們的生命中工作，透過我們的生活言行來榮耀基督。我們不用告訴別人，別人也可以看見誰是我們的生命之主。
反思：
我能否凡事以基督為主，無論作甚麼事，都是為了榮耀基督而做？
HEAVENLY TREASURE
Matthew 6:19-24
19 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
Message
It isn't always easy to believe that money and houses won't last forever. However we can be robbed or lose our possessions in many ways.
Our Lord did not say that it is wrong to save money or to get possessions here on earth. We all need money to supply our daily needs. But if all we can see is money, our spiritual vision will be darkened. Money is given to us to be used wisely and generously so that not only our needs will be met, but we may share in the spread of the gospel around the world.
We do not need to be rich in order to share in God's work or to put savings into heaven's bank. Some of the most precious gifts received by the Lord are from persons with a very small income but with a big heart towards God. Paul recalls Christ's words 'It is more blessed to give than to receive' (Acts 20:35).
Verse 24 can also speak to us about our giving. We cannot serve two masters at one time. No-one can have money as his goal on earth and at the same time use it to lay up treasure in heaven.
We need to make up our minds who is going to be the Lord of our lives- Christ or self. That will decide for us what we do with the things God allows us to have.
If Jesus Christ is recognised as our sovereign Lord, then he will be Lord in everything. It will be clearly seen in our stewardship, in the time we give to the Lord and his work, in allowing the Holy Spirit to glorify Christ in our actions and our reactions. We won't need to tell anyone-they will see for themselves who is our Lord.
