天天與主相交，天天得著潔淨
約翰福音十三章1至15節
1逾越節以前，耶穌知道自己離世歸父的時候到了。他既然愛世間屬自己的人，就愛他們到底。
2吃晚飯的時候，魔鬼已將賣耶穌的意思放在西門的兒子加略人猶大心裡。
3耶穌知道父已將萬有交在他手裡，且知道自己是從神出來的，又要歸到神那裡去，
4就離席站起來，脫了衣服，拿一條手巾束腰，
5隨後把水倒在盆裡，就洗門徒的腳，並用自己所束的手巾擦乾。
6挨到西門彼得，彼得對他說：主阿，你洗我的腳麼？
7耶穌回答說：我所做的，你如今不知道，後來必明白。
8彼得說：你永不可洗我的腳！耶穌說：我若不洗你，你就與我無分了。
9西門彼得說：主阿，不但我的腳，連手和頭也要洗。
10耶穌說：凡洗過澡的人，只要把腳一洗，全身就乾淨了。你們是乾淨的，然而不都是乾淨的。
11耶穌原知道要賣他的是誰，所以說：你們不都是乾淨的。
12耶穌洗完了他們的腳，就穿上衣服，又坐下，對他們說：我向你們所做的，你們明白麼？
13你們稱呼我夫子，稱呼我主，你們說的不錯，我本來是。
14我是你們的主，你們的夫子，尚且洗你們的腳，你們也當彼此洗腳。
15我給你們做了榜樣，叫你們照著我向你們所做的去做。

故事中的門徒，剛從橄欖山走路回來；他們走的都是泥路，所以他們的腳都沾滿了塵土和泥濘；然而，他們當中只有一人願意做僕人的工作，替他們洗腳。那人就是耶穌。祂甘心樂意地替門徒洗腳，而且，祂的行動不單給我們留下一個服侍別人的榜樣，更留下一個關乎潔淨的教訓。
請讀第6至10節。耶穌的話是甚麼意思？祂究竟要教導門徒甚麼？耶穌所描述的，是一個洗過澡的人，如今弄污了雙腳，他還要再去洗澡嗎？不，他不用再去洗澡，只要洗乾淨雙腳便夠了。
現在，讓我們思想這教訓的屬靈含意。人若被基督洗淨，他已得著完全的潔淨；可是，他每天的生活，仍可能被罪所污染。這刻，他要怎樣做呢？還要完全潔淨一次嗎？不，他不用再求主從頭潔淨他，他只要求主潔淨他所犯的罪就夠了。
信徒時刻需要這種潔淨。犯了罪的信徒，只要來到耶穌基督面前認罪，主的寶血就會再次洗淨他，他就再次得潔淨了。這個信息，豈不是給信徒的最大安慰？讓我們重溫約翰壹書一章9節的教導：「我們若認自己的罪，神是信實的，是公義的，必要赦免我們的罪，洗淨我們一切的不義。」
只有每天與基督相交，才能每天得著祂的潔淨；這是每位信徒永遠都要依從的祕訣。
反思：
每天在神面前清楚交賬，切忌拖延掛賬。
DAILY CLEANSING MEANS DAILY FELLOWSHIP
John 13: 1 – 15
1 Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray Him,
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,
4 rose from supper and laid aside His garments, took a towel and girded Himself.
5 After that, He poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which He was girded.
6 Then He came to Simon Peter. And Peter said to Him, “Lord, are You washing my feet?”
7 Jesus answered and said to him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will know after this.”
8 Peter said to Him, “You shall never wash my feet!”
Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head!”
10 Jesus said to him, “He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean; and you are clean, but not all of you.”
11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, “You are not all clean.”
12 So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
Message
What did Jesus do? The disciples had walked in from the Mount of Olives along dusty, dirty roads. Their feet needed washing and only one person was willing to take the servant’s place and wash those stained feet. That person was Jesus himself. He did it willingly and at the same time left us not only an example but a wonderful lesson on cleansing.
Look at verses 6 to 10. What was Jesus saying? What was he trying to teach them? The picture he gives is of someone who has had a full bath but now has dirtied his feet. How much does he need to wash again? Only his feet of course. He doesn’t need a full bath again.
Now think of the spiritual application. When a person has been cleansed by Christ, he has been fully cleansed but he can be soiled or stained by sin every day. What does he need then? Another full cleansing? No, he doesn’t need to start all over again. Only that part which has been stained needs to be cleansed.
This kind of cleansing happens all the time. When a believer sins and confesses that sin, the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses him again and he is made whole once more. Isn’t that encouraging? Remember the words of 1 John 1: 9. ‘If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’
Daily cleansing means daily fellowship with Christ and that is what we all need always.
